Holiday Cheer: Tea recipes, holiday gifts & sustainable tips
December brings us all a little closer together. The weather is colder but we tend to have more warm moments together with friends and family.
In this blog, we're exploring three ways to infuse your holidays with extra cheer: starting with simple, delightful tea recipes, thoughtful gift ideas and sustainable tips for a greener Christmas. SO, grab your mug and settle in -
Let's warm you up with these two cosy tea recipes
Christmas Tea Punch – A cosy blend of non-alcoholic spicy punch to sweeten your holidays.
Start by fixing a cup of YOGI TEA® Christmas Tea and let the tea (one bag) steep for 6-7 minutes. Then add circa 100ml of grape juice at room temperature. That's it! If you don't have the Christmas Tea at hand, you can blend with a YOGI TEA® flavour you have in your cupboard.
Cranberry Hibiscus Tea – Tangy and refreshing, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Here's how to make the cranberry flavour pop even more: In a saucepan, prepare some simple sugar syrup (boiling water + sugar or syrup of choice). Add cranberries, cinnamon to the boiling syrup and let simmer until the fruit is mashable. Strain and store the juice in a jar after cooling. Brew your YOGI TEA® Positive Energy Cranberry Hibiscus and add a spoonful of syrup to your tea.
For the perfect seasonal treat, pair your tea with gingerbread or butter biscuits. Turn on your Christmas lights, music, and enjoy this moment of peace.
Thoughtful gifts (for everyone on your list)
Finding the perfect gift for your loved ones doesn’t have to be stressful or costly. Start by thinking about what they truly love and enjoy, then let your creativity guide you to a thoughtful and meaningful choice.
- Tea Gift sets for tea lovers - unique, seasonal blends.
- Beauty products - eco-friendly products to pamper them a little.
- Handmade or baked goods - think personalised gifts like baubles, bath soaks, body scrubs or homemade bakes.
- Experience-based gifts - instead of a physical item, consider gifting a memorable experience like a massage, coffee date, or a beauty workshop.
Make holiday gifting sustainable
- Choose quality gifts that will last longer, have practical or sentimental meaning rather than buying disposable items.
- Support local businesses to reduce the environmental impact of shipping and also to help your community.
- Your gifts can be eco-friendly wrapped and just as beautiful (if not even more so). Use kraft paper and make a fun activity out of it with your kids - draw and add natural decorations to it like dried flowers, twine or pinecones.
- Use cloth wraps or cloth tote bags instead of wrapping paper - both of which can be reused.
We find the holidays to be a time for connection and making memories with the people who are dear to us. With a little intention, they can also be an opportunity to live more mindfully. Remember, small choices can have a big impact.
