When temperatures rise, there’s nothing quite like a refreshing iced drink to cool you down. But your usual glass of water doesn’t have to be your only option. Yogi Tea can be transformed into fruity, colourful drinks that are easy to prepare at home.

From a cherry-infused iced tea to a refreshing blueberry and mint mocktail, these three recipes are perfect for summer in Malta. Better still, they’re simple to prepare and can be adapted with your favourite fresh fruits and herbs.

The fruity, tangy flavours of cherry and lime pair beautifully with YOGI TEA® Positive Energy Cranberry Hibiscus. The blend contains hibiscus, cranberry, lemongrass, spices, and other botanicals, making a vibrant base for a chilled summer drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 litre boiling water
  • 3 YOGI TEA® Positive Energy Cranberry Hibiscus tea bags
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • 50g fresh or frozen cherries
  • Fresh mint
  • Ice

Method

Steep the tea bags in boiling water for 5 minutes, then remove and allow the tea to cool. Add the lime, cherries, and fresh mint to a large pitcher. Pour over the cooled tea, add plenty of ice and stir. Serve chilled with extra fruit and mint.

Tip: For a stronger fruity flavour, gently crush a few cherries before adding them to the pitcher.

For a refreshing drink with a little more zing, try YOGI TEA® Berry Mix Cold Brew. This blend combines black tea with hibiscus and berry flavours, including blackcurrant, blueberry, and raspberry. It’s also designed to be steeped directly in cold water, making it especially convenient for iced drinks.

Ingredients

  • 3 YOGI TEA® Berry Mix Cold Brew tea bags
  • 600ml cold water
  • ½ cup blueberries
  • 1 small handful fresh mint
  • ½ lime, cut into wedges

Add the tea bags to cold water and steep for 10–15 minutes. Meanwhile, gently muddle the blueberries, mint, lime, and honey in a jug. Remove the tea bags and pour the tea over the fruit mixture. Add ice, stir well and garnish with extra blueberries and mint.
